Well after what I went through last week, and the great results I got from the second service center, I think from now on I will try to go to specialty oriented service centers. Fleet Maintenance of Texas will do anything relating to Engine/Drive Train/Chassis/Generator/and Roof AC cuz they said they do that... and if it's related to some other issue I'll try to find someone who focuses on that type of work... or do it myself.
Point is, I just don't think I'll ever go to a new RV Dealer for service on a whole list of various items again unless I buy a new RV from them and it's still under warranty.

That's probably a good idea. We've finally found a good independent RV service/repair facility here (we live NW of Houston) and no longer have to put up with the delays, bad service, rudeness, etc. of having to deal with dealer service departments. The good independents depend on repair business for their survival, so they're motivated to concentrate on good work at fair prices and satisfied customers.

Independents also don't have canned business just because "They're a brand X dealer." They need to be nice if they want to survive.

Tedward1555 I had the same thing happen to me in 2003 we were South Dakota and i had two spots in my floor on my winnebago and i thought that i would take it to forrest city, ia and have it fixed. they fix it for me and charge me 4200.00 dollars to fix it. I paid it and when i got to Mississippi i trade it off. Winnebago will never get another dollar out of me as far as i am coarsen they build junkie Motor Home any how.

I'll bet you love what you have now, I hear that Tiffin owners are the happiest RV customers.. They seem to make a great product.

I have done some business with the Ancira location south of Dallas in Alvarado. First, it was not warranty work, they quoted me a price and completed the work for the price and in a timely fashion. Some of it was electrical work and when it was not working I went back and they found and fixed the bad ground at N/C. While it was no bargain (shop labor $124/hr) it was not a ripoff either. Just my experience with the company.

The days of customer service is over with. Businesses and employees have learned that making customers happy is not worth their effort even if it means going out of business.

tedward1555: You bet i am Vere please with my Allegro i have had to carry it back to the factor a couple of time to have things fix on it However a trip to Red Bay is a pleasant experience. you can stand around and watch while they work on it if you like, not so with winnebago they keep you lock out from were they are working on your MH. You have to get permission to go in the work bay.
