I noticed on the way back from picking up our 2004 Itasca Suncruiser 33V that the cruise control didn't work. Check the fuse. Any ideas on a simple fix?

If this is a Workhorse you are in for some problems. Check the workhorse area some repairs and some still trying to get it repaired.

Lindsay,

If it is a Ford it should be disconnected until the recall service is performed on it. Millions of Fords are being recalled due to a fire hazard involving the cruise control and many are being disconnected as the parts to repair them are in short supply.

On member had his put back in service by uninformed mechanic and then experienced a fire.

If it is a Workhorse it could be something as simple as the switch on the brake pedal that shuts it down when you tap the brakes needs adjustment.

I had a 04 on the Workhorse and had the same problem. The tech adjusted the plastic switch that hits the brake pedel when its depressed on the steering post and it worked fine. Do not remember much more, maybe someone else can explain how the disconnect for the CC works on this switch. s/Toby

If the steering wheel was adjusted into full upright position the cable or harness is sometimes strained which causes a disconnect. with wheel fully down grab harness and push upwards toward wheel. Take note of cable position. Now, adjust wheel into full upright position. If cable doesn't follow the wheel upwards you need to find some slack under the dash to relieve the strain. Good luck!!
