Current thoughts on CoachNet Vs Good Sam ERS
Hi there all,
We are coming up on our annual renewal of Good Sam ERS. We are wondering if we should consider going with CoachNet. There is a thread on this topic back in 2013, but I'm wondering if there are any more 'Current' thoughts on this topic.
We look forward to your feedback!
Safe Travels!

I have had both and used both. But since I no longer have a need to belong to Good Sam, I'm with Coach Net which has served me well.

How long have you had Good Sam ERS?
What are you feeling in regard to its value to you so far?

Hi Eric! I have been with GS since 2001. I was thinking about changing but GS offered my a deal I couldn't say no to!
Call their number and select the option to "cancel service". You will get a rep that is authorized to offer their very best deals. Just tell them that you are changing to CoachNet and want to cancel your service. you'll be surprised at what they will do to keep you!

Have had 2 very serious tow situations in last 4 years--both time handled very well by GS ERS. Still with them. Have not had CN so can't comment on them.

We've never had a serious mechanical failure, so we've never really had a need to call for help. Sorry I can't give you more information on them.

So, Coach net talks about being able to deliver things such as a tire or a battery. I presume though they may deliver them for free, the cost for the products them selves is the responsibility of the subscriber. Is that correct, or does CoachNet pay for those products?
Let me know your thoughts!
Safe Travels.

If you are considering purchasing a Coach Net policy go to PPL motorhomes website or call them. They offer the exact same policy as buying direct at a much lower cost. We saved over $100 on a one year policy going through PPL.
I have no affiliation with PPL, just a happy customer
I have not used them yet and hope to never need them so can not speak of their service. They do have a great reputation.

We were towed using Coach Net and they were phenominal. They kept us posted, found a local service center and arranged the repair. It took a tremendous amount of pressure off me.

I have been a Coach-Net Premium Member since 2010. No plans to change as they have been an excellent ERS company. My current membership expires in 2017 so I re-upped for another three years at $149 per year before they plan to raise prices to $249 sometime this year.
Flat trailer tire change outside of Whitehorse Yukon - 2010

Coach and trailer tow / 200+ miles - Cassier Highway BC Canada - 2015
Flat trailer tire change in KY - 2015
Coach and trailer tow 80+ miles off I-81 VA - 2016
Never any grief, mistakes or problems from any of the customer service people or the repairs or tows.
I have heard and read lots of horror stories from people who had GS ERS. You can find them right here on this forum. Just do a iRV2 Google search and read for yourself.
