I believe this will have an impact on Fleetwood, I know that at one time the Gamel stores accounted for 20% of Fleetwood's RV output.

Gamel had already closed his SF Bay Area store in '05, then supposedly sold the company to some of his senior management, then somehow got back into an ownership position not too many months ago.

There are some other large California dealerships chains and it will be interesting to see how they hold up in the months ahead.

It's a sad state of affairs. Made even sadder by the fact that we knew this day was coming and did very little about it. Fuel prices are having a dramatic impact on everyone's discretionary spending, on both sides of the cash register. We're making one more trip this summer and then reassessing the situation. May hang a "For Sale" sign on the MH.
