Denver Ordinance # 300 Vote Results

See DenverVotes.org
Failed 81% NO.
As for that closed post regarding Parking/Living in Denver on public streets or property. It is not legal for any rig over 24 feet long and not for more than 14 days. I was given warnings while visiting relatives by Denvers "Right of Way" enforcement officers.

I knew it would not have a ghost of a chance of passing. A bit amazed that it was not 98% NO

Well, NO could mean that the voters decided that the current law is approved or it could mean it was disapproved. Without seeing the language of the proposition, NO means nothing.

Well, this time No means No to the NEW ordinance.

"An initiative to allow any individual to engage in activities, such as resting and sheltering oneself in a non-obstructive manner, in outdoor public places was on the ballot for voters in Denver, Colorado, on May 7, 2019. It was defeated.
A "yes" vote was a vote in favor of adding "Article IX - Right to Survive in Public Spaces" to the Denver Revised Municipal Code, thereby allowing the following activities in outdoor public places without limits or penalties enforced by the city or county, law enforcement, or any other entity:
resting;
sheltering oneself;
eating or exchanging food; and
occupying one's own legally parked vehicle or a legally parked vehicle with permission of the owner."

Looks like Denver residents don't want the same issues that cities like Seattle and San Francisco residents and businesses are dealing with.

Gosh, guess Denver is back on the list. Figured the pot smokers would cave into that like other places. I suggest all, drive around Flagstaff, AZ, RV allowed to park alongside streets, and don't know if limit. Some of those should be condemned. Won't go back there I will tell you.
