I've had some excellent service, but not a lot over my last 20 years of RV ownership. The Freightliner Custom Chassis factory service center (Gafney, SC) is consistently excellent and I've had a few regular RV dealers do prompt and quality work for me when I've had a failure while on the road somewhere. I know it's not a popular thing to say here, but I've also had some good service from Lazy Days (the Crown Club side), though not on every occasion.

But some of those events were 15 years ago, plus we sold the coach back in December 2016 , so my experience isn't exactly current.

Had a repair done (early 2016) while passing thru Oxnard, Ca. (on way back to Seattle). had the drive shaft rebuilt at C & S RV & truck Service. They let us stay the night on site in RV and had us in first thing the following morning.

The drive shaft was sent to a shaft re-builder shop nearby. I was back on the road just after lunch. They did a great job.

Everything I've had repaired or replaced by Indianapolis Camping World was done right the first time.
Everything I've had my chassis serviced, or parts repaired or replaced by Carmichael Truck and Automotive Repair was done right the first time.

My biggest gripe is that none of the Ford dealers within miles and miles and miles will do warranty work on the Ford engine or chassis.

It's unfortunate that not many seem to post reviews on RV Service Reviews site. It would be so helpful to others, especially to find someone while traveling.

I have used small local shops for my Spartan chassis maintenance and collision damage and have been pleased with the results.

If you understand what they are dealing with as far as employees and supply chain and are not a "prima donna I have to have my stuff right now" type, then you can get excellent results.

The businesses I deal with will slot me in because I understand what they are dealing with.

That's what I mean. Why aren't folks using this potentially extremely helpful resource?

My last exploit was regular maintenance at Countryman's RV in Summerdale, Alabama. Out in a couple of hours, no problem.

Previous was Cummins Ocala. By appointment. I figured I'd sit in the CG overnight, they'd have it all the next day, then back in the CG. I arrived shortly after lunch time; the did the work and were running me off well before quitting time. I could have stayed in the CG if desired. Amazing! Cummins Ocala has been great.

If a problem sneaks up I usually take care of it myself, if too big for me to handle we try to have it taken care of when we are visiting the Shipshewana area and visit one of two shops, The Service center at Shipshewana or Amish Family RV Service.

I have been lucky to have found via an insurance recommendation “Custom RV” in DeForest, WI, just north of Madison, WI.

I had pulled the lower drivers side corner of the rear endcap off of my, then, class A. They did that job right and I have been going to them ever since for everything major.

Most recent was installing an elongated toilet into my current camper that did not fit the space & plumbing. They redid the plumbing to the black tank to make the toilet fit in the space.

When I first bought this class C. The PO must have had a serious problem with the plumbing under the camper. Such that none of the valves were where they should have been for dumping. Custom RV fixed that in days after the appointment. Many years of great service on the big things.
