Diesel Shortages

Heading to Tucson Az next week from Houston, Tx then to Massachusetts. Has anyone in their travels run into diesel shortages or fuel limit purchases lately??

Seeing some areas out and some limiting to 60 gallons according to online searches.

The trucking industry would not stand for any gallonage limits, that is BS IMO. Refuel at truck stops/travel centers, they would go broke if they imposed a gallonage limit.
The only time I could not refuel last Nov. was because their computer system was down.
Download the phone app. TruckerPath, you may select which fuel stations(not mom N pop) to display and current price there.

Nope, I went to Florida and back Christmas to Jan 16th
All the TAs were busy and all had diesel.
Price went up 25cent a gallon from Christmas to Jan 17th
DEF was $4.03 in Florida, $3.95 in Pennsylvania

a month or so ago it was happening in arizona. our local station was out for several days and the some of the major truck stops along both i-10 and i-40 were limiting purchases to 60 gallons. for the last month or so our local station has always had diesel and i haven't heard of the truck stops still limiting their purchases. i was at a truck stop recently in tonopagh, az and there were no limits. some people blamed a shortage of delivery drivers, some said the distribution centers were having problems getting bulk fuel, and some blamed all the diesel drivers filling up in arizona before the entered california and the outrageous fuel prices there.

No Shortages NM to Florida

I just drove from New Mexico to Florida and noted zero shortages. Prices vary widely as you drive across on Interstate 10 and then down Interstate 75, but I was not aware of any shortage and none of the stations were limiting volume of fuel purchased.

When I put my MH to bed in Nov 2021. The station I was fill up at ran out while I was at the pump. I need 35 gal I got 6. I think it was jut a timing thing. Truck was going to be there later that morning. No where else was out of fuel.

Coming west from Houston to NW of San Antonio last Wednesday, the Buccees east of San Antonio on I-10 had diesel. No issues getting in/out of the station.
I went to the rear island, not the ones in front.

could the "shortage" be really a credit card $/transaction limitation? ie: pump gets to $100 and then slows down and stops?
If so, just restart the transaction to continue filling as per usual.

some pump limit purchases, and stop the pump at 100 or 120 dollars. i just restart the pump, just like a new purchase. works for me.
seen that in a lot of stations. usually around 30 or 40 gallons of gasoline.
stations say its a credit card rule. who knows?

Traveling the past couple weeks from San Antonio to Fort Stockton, las Cruces, Tucson, Phoenix, Quartzite ,
Lake Havasu and back. Ran into no shortages or fuel limits.
