This is known as Direct Now. Do a Google search to see all the issues and problems people have had with the service. Even when it works right, it only works IF you have a strong internet source and in most campgrounds, the wifi will not provide an adequate signal for streaming video. In many areas, you will not have wifi at all so no streaming. It also eats up data so you will need an expensive data plan. All these things need to be factored into a decision to use a streaming service as opposed to traditional Satellite. We carry a portable dish to deal with trees or watch the things we have DVRed until we get to a better location. In some areas our OTA antenna keeps us entertained. Chuck

When we were in Newfoundland which is just like AK set direct tv to pull in standard definition as you will probably pick up the standard definition satellite

That is the way we were able to pick up direct tv fine

Our antenna on the coach is rf mogul and not wineguard but that should not make a difference

I am actually wondering if Directv streaming works at all. I can stream from my PC fine, when I try going the Directv route the blue circle just spins around. Same station.
