Direct TV offered at campground

Yesterday we spent the night at Yogi Bear Campground about 40 miles west of Atlanta, Ga. When checking in the lady ask me if I wanted Direct TV for $3.00. I said yes and she said a guy will be at your site to install it. When I got to my site the guy was waiting with a Direct TV convertor box. He hooked it up and told me to leave the box at the office or his site the next day. Anybody ever had TV this way before ?

We were there for only over night but it was a real nice gampground. It has only been open three years. The cost for the night was only $17 with my Camp Club USA. This even included the Direct TV. They also had a very nice staff.

This campground is probably where no cable is offered. I just never had this before. I would rather have cable because with this, we had only one TV working. Dianne and I watch different programs. I forgot to say if you have your own Direct TV receiver there is no charge for tv, just hook to the pedestal. I got Dishnetwork and found it more trouble than worth for me.

I'd pay the $3 just to watch the news and weather while I have my coffee. Great idea for campground extras. Hope the word spreads and more CG's get on board with this.

In Gila Bend, AZ, just off I-8, at the campground behind Holt's Shell Fuel Stop they have had DirecTV for years. They are also a Passport America.

Seal Beach Navy Military Campground has Direct TV. Its just like any park cable, you don't need any converter box or special hookup. Not as many channels as I have at home but many.
