"Discount Van/Truck" RV Computer Desk
We ordered a desk/dinette table combination from Discount Van and Truck LTD. in Bell Gardens, CA on 1 Nov 2010 with assurance that the items would be shipped within 30 days -- unfortunately this has not happened and calls to the firm have not been reassuring. They cannot provide a shipping date and/or the status of our order, other than to say it's being processed/manufactured. Customer service folks have been hesitant to route our calls to management, saying that someone will contact us? They did not hesitate to grab their money as soon as the order was processed on 1 Nov!! Based on our experience, recommend caution when dealing with this company.

Assuming you paid by credit card, if they cannot provide shipping information after 30 days, I would suggest disputing the charge with your credit card company. That will definitely get their attention, and if they have actually shipped the product, you can always withdraw your dispute.

I would have to agree Call and dispute the charge. Sounds like a Company that likes to pull Scams

In all fairness to both sides on this issue, 'Dave' the General Manager of Discount Van and Truck called me and advised the shipment was delayed and he expected the items to arrrive early next week. Also stated he would expedite the shipment to us. This is all 'well and good', its a shame it took the power of the Internet to get a response.

Dispute the charge, but also send the compny you purchased the desk from a letter if you have thier address or by email if you don't explaining what you want & that you have not received your desk. Then submit a copy of the letter to the credit card company. They will most likely have you do this any way if you contact them first. I have had 2 disputes over the past several years. One they wanted the letters the other they just wanted the receipts. The one that they wanted the letters for the Credit Card Conpany was not going to refund my money until they read about 8 letters that I wrote & sent to the company that did not send the products. They were only going to dispute it with the seller, but changed thier mind & paid me then went after the seller. I did have to file a report with the local police in thier area also. It was well worth it.

So! Did you ever receive the product?
And was you happy with the quality of it?
This came up on a google search of reviews for that company.
