Discussion on DEF by actual users
I am interested in the opinions of people who actually have been using DEF in their rigs. Most of the opinions expressed is these forums seem to come from folks repeat what they have heard or read but have no actual experience with it. As for myself, I have an ISL 450 in a Itasca Ellipse and have issues at all with it. In fact I forget that the system is even there until I have to fill the tank. This needs to happen every 4000 miles or less, and this is also a non issue, just pull into a p/fj.
for fuel and they have DEF right beside the fuel pumps. The rig has 10000 miles on it and I have been getting 9mpg towing a Jeep Liberty.
