They have told me they put camera down thru the vents and they were in good shape. That was one of our hypotheses.

I would to love to find those You Tube videos and will look up Wacko.

My 15k BTU was venting into the area between ceiling and roof. The evaporator was stuffed full of dead bugs under it. Condensate had nowhere to drain out. It was that bad. The coils were completely caked with dirt and hair to the point where I was surprised there was any airflow at all.

I used metallized HVAC tape to seal every single square inch of the AC starting with the plenum on the roof. No space even remotely potentially leaky which touches interior air at any point was left without a layer of tape on top. Only solid surfaces were somewhat left uncovered. My RV metal frame has holes in it from the factory and I taped over those too. In general the tape job was not good from the factory. Get in there and tape up EVERYTHING!

My single 15K BTU in the middle of the day can cool from 92 degrees outdoor ambient air temperature while baking in full sun with slides extended down to 78 degrees air temperature at 35% humidity inside now.
