Do I need to add "stabilizer" to gas tank?

Greetings!! Hope my question is worthy for this Great Group -

My Tiffin is a 2014 Allegro Open Road (gasser) and my question is about how long does the residual gasoline in the tank take to go bad and "gum up" the engine? (I've heard horror stories)

I've been F/T solo for 4 years now and love it! But I've had to stay stationary since 2021 (due to some chemo treatments) so the residual gas in the tank (~60 gallons) is coming up on just over 2 years old -

I do start my Tiffie once every month along with the Onan generator and keep the engine battery charged with a trickle charger but the gas stabilizer thing has me wondering -

Thoughts?

Thanks!!

My 2001 Allegro 31IA has been parked for about 6 years now. I start and run it for about 30 minutes or so, along with the generator about once a month. I top up the gas tank every now and then. No additives. Only trouble was batteries replacement and a new starter and voltage regulator for the genny.
Most folks here recommend storing with a full tank to avoid condensation problems.
I'll need to bleed out the brake fluid if and when it ever goes back on the road.

By topping off every now and then you are adding the fuel additives.
In CA the state took out the stabilizer additive several years back. So, I add it to anything that won't be used in about 2 months. DR

If the gas is that old it is too late for stabil to do any good. Keep starting it and if you do top off the tank add a dose then.

Staring it and only running for 30 minutes may do more harm than good. Moisture collects in the exhaust and engine due to condensation.

Best to add stabilizer and a full tank.

I store my motorcycle for 4-5 months with Seafoam in the gas. Just double the recommended amount. Fuel injected engines are more forgiving. Never had a problem except for a drop in mileage on the first tank.

I heard an old saying...

What do you have when you mix 5 gallons of new gas with 1 gallon of bad gas.....

6 gallons of bad gas...

Don't know if true but sounded good

FWIW. I buy Sta-bil by the gallon.....

I had stabil treated gas in our old GMC, it was close to 10 years. The octane had dropped, durn thing hated to start but once running it was fine. Exhaust stank though. Dropped the tanks and inside it looked pretty good. Ran the fuel in our tractor for the summer. Wouldn't do that again but the stuff does work. Oh, running an engine for 30 minutes should heat up everything enough to avoid condensation.
