Do I Really Need This Battery?

Our new TT came with a new propane tank and a new deep cycle battery. The question is, the TT has a small electric refrigerator and a window unit AC that the battery will not run. It only runs the water pump and most of the interior lights.
Since Pammi and I will not be doing any dry camping, is it really necessary?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Sometimes a battery is used to even out the power, like a regulator. If the refer is a gas/electric RV unit it needs 12 volts for the controls.

Dig thru the books and check the converter manual. It may state whether it needs a battery in the system or not.

Many of them are regulated power supplies that also charge batteries. If that's the case, you don't need the battery.

Yes, for several reasons even if you never dry camp.

Your TT has electric brakes and a breakaway switch. The 12 volt battery power gets applied to the electric trailer brakes if the TT detaches from the tow vehicle.

You might want to get an electric tongue jack at some point to make unhooking and leveling easier.

You might want to use the bathroom while traveling and need water pump to flush, light, and or bathroom fan.

You might need light from a compartment light or interior light before you have your electric hooked up.

Why wouldn't you want the convenience of having the 12 volt accessories that are powered by a battery?

most rv/trailers have a propane and/or co detector installed. those devices are 24/7 on and powered by batteries. some rv/trailers have a solenoid on the propane output after the regulator. it's supposed to be always on.
needless to day you do need to have at least one battery.
