Do you drink the water from your fresh water tank?
I've been RVing since 2006 and I've never drank from my RV's fresh water tank. I always used filtered water either from Walmart or a filtered water station for about .25/gal. I'm in the SW now and I'm guess I'm drinking 3/4 gal of water a day, plus coffee, soda, beer. Water is too important to my health to risk it.
What do you do?

Why not?
Been doing it for 64 years now. Plus I survived drinking out of the rubber garden hose too.

We drink from the tank and have never had an issue. We have a 3 stage water filter under the sink for drinking water but honestly it's more for taste than health concerns.

We use our tank water with no problems for the last 20 years. But, we do use our RV and we don't let it sit idle for months at a time. There's plenty of chlorine in the city water you use to fill your tank.

Yes. If you maintain the system, there is no reason not to. It may even be cleaner than what you buy!

Yes, we have a extra filter for our sink and ice maker. I sanitize ours so I know we are good.
I know we are better than Flint, MI.

We've been full timing for three years and always drink from the tank. What we don't do is fill it with nasty "tasting" water. If the water is good we fill from the faucet. If not we use jugs filled at outdoor dispensers and pump it in with an external Shurflo pump.

 That is the purpose of the fresh water tank. The mfgr. can't help it if an RV owner can't sanitize it properly.

We just use ours for washing, flushing, and tooth brushing. Get bottled water for drinking and cooking. Spring or RO water purchased by the gallon jug for cooking is inexpensive and easy to store.

I don't mind drinking from the tank, but I fill several gallon jugs from a PUR Filter I have at home before I leave if I'm going for three or four days, and have some bottled water along. I save the 50 gallon fresh tank for showers, sinks and toilet, etc.

I am not afraid to drink ours, but usually do not. We do cook with it and I do brush my teeth with it.
The main reason for not drinking it is we keep a gallon jug in the fridge so it is cold to make drinks from.
We mostly boondock so we either pick up a couple gallons at the store weekly when we re-provision or fill them at a fill site.
