I am not building a house so being precise is not important. I know what factory spec is. I know to add maybe a couple of inches for alignment system. Add a little more for slightly taller tires. My math is still pretty good. Add everything up & I figure I am within an inch or so.

I also know that bridge height signs are for the lowest point, usually right at the curb. If I see semis coming the other way, or if I am following one, I am good.

2 good points were made here that I hadn't considered. The 1st is measuring the height with the tow vehicle attached. The second is unaltered/corrected overpass heights after construction.

Does anyone know how much temperatures from zero to 112 degrees may affect things?
My thoughts/question
Bill

If hooking up your toad makes a noticeable change in your coach height I think you may be doing something wrong.

I think he actually said “tow vehicle” which may mean that a trailer or 5er may be taller when hooked up for towing than when unhooked.

True, but really only a handful of different ways to get the same result.
