We've owned our RV since new. Always turned the RV frig off with doors open while in storage. Due to life changes the RV has been in use since last May, plugged in with frig on 24/7. Knock on wood, no problems so far. We have always made sure we keep the coils clean and the spiderwebs at bay around the heating element area.

It usually gets started about now and will stay running until November. Then I watched this video yesterday and wonder about my wisdom since it doesn't have the ARP overtemp protection though does have the latest (maybe) Norcold update. I'll probably order that ARP gadget as the one I have on the shelf wont work with the current fridge

Take a look and think about how many of these had fridge fires - and this is only one of many salvage yards in the US. Not the best narration though but is an eye opener:
