Dometic Heat Pump

Prior to the trip we are on when I turned my domestic thermostat to furnace the suburban propane heater came on...now when I turn on the furnace the propane heater comes as well as the a/c unit I am assuming with the heat pump. I have a 2014 Silverback 29RE and did not get much paperwork when I purchased it a year ago. I am trying to figure out how to shut off just the heat pump.

The users manual for that Dometic thermostat could be available at the site in this link.

I helped a neighbor with a similar problem 2 years ago but can't remember the cure.

EDIT : A quick internet search turned up 3 U tube videos on that t'stat too.

Using the Mode button, push the Mode button until the Fan light is green. Then use the up arrow and change the Fan position back to AU. You currently have the Fan in either LO or HI.

Being in LO or HI allows the air conditioner fan to assist with circulating air inside the RV while the furnace is operating. Furnace heat only comes out of the floor vents.

Some thermostats when set to electric heat will also engage the propane furnace when the ambient temp measured by the thermostat is 5 degrees or more less than the set temp. If you adjust the thermostat desired temp to only 4 degrees more than current ambient temp only the electric heat will come on, and you can slowly raise the thermostat set temp as the ambient air temp rises keeping the gap 4 degrees or less.
