It sounds like you have an intermittent connection on the power wire(s) to your fridge.
It is not too uncommon to have a bad connection in the RV wiring.
If the fridge quits again, check the power and ground at the Dometic screw terminal where the power comes into the fridge.
1) If there is power there, check the Dometic recall devices that are inline with the positive power supply down stream of the screw terminals.
2) If there is not power at the screw terminals, use a long wire to run from your battery to the terminals on the fridge to test the RV wiring.
Use this wire to connect to ground on the battery, then use this ground for your volt meter to see if there is power at the screw terminal. If there is power, then you have a bad ground. Your wire from your battery to your volt meter completed the circuit.
The same holds true for the power wire, switch the wire to the plus side of the battery to test.
