Dometic A/C-Heat Pump Problem?

This morning after the HP would turn off the fan kept running. Now after the A/C turns off the fan keeps running. I turned off the breaker and it still does it.
I looked for a fuse at the thermostat, but I could not find one.

By "after the A/C turns off the fan keeps running" do you mean after the compressor cycles off on its own, or do you mean you manually shut the AC off? If the former that is normal if the fan mode is not set to Auto.

The fan keeps running and running. After running about 15 minutes I turned that AC/HP off when we left.

The A/C will run normally until it shuts off, but the fan will continue to run until the A/C kicks back on.

If fan is ON it will run 24/7 untill you turn it off. I run mine sometime just to circulate some air.

That is the way my AC / heat pump roof units have always worked. If the room air is at temp it does not more heat or cool. But the fan keeps working until turned off.

If the rv is new to you have you accidently turned the fan on to run continuously?

There is a procedure to reset the control panel on mine but it is a 5 button Duotherm Dometic. Just a thought.

If you set your fan mode to anything besides Auto it will run constantly.

Is the fan setting on auto? The on position makes it run constantly.

Air conditioning and Heat pump. They are the very same piece of equipment with two different names. Some people think the are two different units up there. There is not. HP is just an A/C compressor running with the gases in to opposite direction do to a reversing valve to produce heat inside the RV instead of cool. One Compresser and one fan motor (some have two fan motors.) As stated above, you can turn on Just the fan without the compressor to circulate air. That is what was going on in this post.

Glad that fixed it.
Here are several files for future use. Download and save them. When you open one of the PDF files there may be yellow post it notes. Mouse over and click if necessary to make them pop up. There is information attached gathered over the last 12 years.
