Dometic refrigertor temperature control
I have a Dometic RM2652 AmericanaA refigierator
The control panel lights do not light. the refrigerator will go automatic to gas when I remove the electric power to the motorhome, when I plug in the electrec it will go to electric; but none of the leds light up in the control panel. If I press the button on the control panel the refrigerator will turn off. or on if I press it in. Any ideas? There are two leds in there;(I removed the panel) I wouldn't think they would both go bad at the same time.

I have found in my experances with a lot of experts that claim to know about a product are mearly parts changers. I checked out the website; ---no help.
I dont have a cooling problem; cooling is fine, the lights in my panel get there info from the main circut board, tomorrow I';ll get my meter out and begin checking to see if I can locate the problem, my gut feeling is that the main circut board has a problem, even though the refrigerator is cooling ok.

Refrigerator eye brow runs on 12v. There is a board in the eye brow that can go bad. We worked on our refrig on and of for a month. Our friend and RV tech would come and we would get it running then only to have it stop working again after between 12 to 24 hours. All the boards checked out alright finally .
After a month we decided the refrig was junk and replaced it. Sometimes things happen that are not fix able. Our refrig was one. sure hope you can figure yours out.

If you have to replace the control board, check with Dinosaur Boards. It replaces the OEM junk and last a lot longer.

Dinosaur is a very customer friendly company. I had an issue with my attwood water heater and because of a igniter/sensor problem I burned out 2 of thier placements boards. When I told them it was not their boards fault and I would pay them for it they told " don't worry about it we're glad your all set". Just had to send back the first one I burned up. I can't say enough good things about that company.
