Door Lock Clip

Please move if in wrong Ppst / Thread.

We are sure this barrel lock will be the same on a lot of different Rv makes and models. But we have it on a 1999 Fleetwood Bounder.
The barrel is ok, it's just come out of the lock because the spring clip, a bit of it in picture has broken.

Can anyone help on where we could get this clip or will it have to be a new complete barrel with keys.

Thank you for a help.

That looks like a broken piece of pewter off of the lock cylinder.

I think you're gonna need a new lock.

Not sure how the clip works (a flat "e-clip"?) but would a small tie wrap replace the clip?
Menards has a really good assortment of this kind of clip in their nuts and bolts aisle.

Thanks
But we are in UK, so going to local shops in USA, could be a long expensive trip. Ha.

Well hopefully may have it sorted, our friend who has sold his Forest River Rv has a few bits inc a door lock.
So will see if we can cannibalise it for the clip, or even a full barrel if same size and length.

Sadly the Forest River door locks are a different design regarding fitting.

So still stuck on repairing the lock. Even having difficulty finding the correct complete handle, we are sure it must be used on other Rvs.

What door is this lock off of? If it has anything to do with the chassis you may try Ford or Chevy parts house house supplier. If it is for the baggage doors you may try the Tri-Mark website to see if they show any replacement parts. Tri-Mark makes a lot of door handles, etc. for RV's. Also may do a search on ebay? Good luck.

Looking through websites and trimark themselves. Waiting for a few replies, but as we are in UK, many sellers only ship to USA.
But looks like if we can get one is change the complete outer handle.

Is this the lock for the door? If yes, it's Trimark and you'll need to replace the outer plate with lock cylinder and handle. The lock cylinder alone cannot be replaced nor can it be repaired.

The part number is stamped on the inside so you'll need to remove the 3 screws holding the inner/outer plates. The inner set is reusable if undamaged so you only need to buy the outer. Your only source is direct from Trimark. You'll get two new keys with the new lock set. I had to replace twice on my '95 Bounder 34J

Yes it looks like it's a new outer plate. Have had a couple of mails back who have them listed and they will ship to UK. But unsure of that cost at moment.
