Drivers License Question
We are going full time next year. We are looking at the Itasca DP (well over 26 000 lbs). I am confused about the drivers license requirements in other states. Do we have to research license requirements in every state we intend to visit and get the required licenses from our home state prior to leaving?

As long as you are legal in your home state, you are legal in the 49 other states.

You only need to comply with your home State requirements. If you are legal in your home State you are legal in all States.

100% correct answers.
For drivers licenses, there is RECIPROCITY between states.
Said another way, if you are legal in your home state, you are good nation-wide.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!
I agree with the others. You only have to meet the requirements of your home state.
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome to the iRV2 forums.
The basic answer is yes, for the reasons others have mentioned.
What you *do* have to comply with are things like overall length limits when towing, and any limitations based on vehicle weight (bridges, speed limits, etc) that may be different from your home state.

Welcome to the forum.
All above are correct. If you have a valid license in your home state it is good in any other state.

Your state issued driver license is valid in all of North America while traveling.

With your standard LA drivers license you should be good to go anywhere in the US.
