Gensets need to be run to be happy. We just serviced an Onan generator on a 1999 coach with 43 hours. Installed a new fuel pump and carburetor to make it run properly.

All gensets should be run for 30 minutes/month with a load to keep things working properly.

Run the generator. Shut it down periodically to check the oil level. It will service you for many thousand hours.

Just curious what conditions do you have that require a genset to be run 2-3 days straight. Most CG's have quiet hours from 10pm to 8am.
I usually run mine 2-5 hours a day when dry camping to recharge the batteries, unless running A/C is necessary.

Probably not at a campground we used to boondock at Delmoe lake near Butte MT in summer and winter (snowmobiles) and left ours running for days at a time.
