EezTire vs Tire Minder

Hey Folks, we bought this 2005 Essex a few weeks ago and it came with a TPMS called EezTire. On my old RexAir I had purchased the TireMinder system and have mixed feelings about it.

On our trip back to Spokane from NC I had one alert on the EezTire so I guess it works.

Any opinions either way on these two different systems?

I think I'll have to buy extra sensors either way I go since I now have a tag axle.

Appreciate your thoughts.

I have EEZ RV and it's been great for 6 years. No problems.

Not sure about the other brand.

Eez tire here. Excellent customer service. Actually got to speak with a person and not have to push 36 buttons to where I needed to be. Would buy again

EEZRV here for six years. Love it. Change batteries annually and replace o-rings at the same time. We do not use the flow thru sensors.

Don't know about Eez Tire, but I can tell you I was not happy with TireMinder. Spent a lot of money on that system, lots of false alarms, especially during rainstorms. Company said it was caused by rapid cooling and there was nothing they could do about it. I use it mostly now just to monitor tire temperature.
I have soured on TPMS and now rely mostly on checking my tires daily and at gas stops.

Have had Tire Minder for about 7 years. They are on the vehicles all the time.

I have replaced all the 10 sensors at least one time. At $50 each, that is like buying a new system on an installment plan.

Yeah..getting the feeling I'm going to keep the EezTire one and give the TireMinder to the folks that buy our old gas rig. I too have had many false positives with TireMinder.

Thanks for everyone's input...greatly appreciate it.

We have EEZ and it has been on the MH for 6 yrs and I am having problems now with the sensors and I'm not getting much support from the company.

When I got home from Florida in the spring I only had 3 working on the coach out of 6. I have been trying to re-program for over a week .All 4 sensors on the toad were working fine.

I deleted all the sensors and removed, checked all the batteries and called for help to reprogram. We laid them all out on the table the way they go on the coach and toad and we thought they were all ok but they don't all work on the coach 4 out of 6 and only one sensor works now on the toad.WTH----we did the programing several times and a different sensor would crap out.

I cant seem to get them all to work at the same time and it seems like a problem with the control pad or module.

The support guy finally gave up and told me to call the owner. He was not helpful and now not returning my calls.

I had the same problem with the EEZ Tire from the beginning. The batteries would die at different times and I was constantly chasing errors. The screws that held the batteries in the tire monitors starting falling apart (some kind of weird pot metal screws) so i replaced it with a tire minder and have not had another issue. Maybe I just got a lemon.

After purchasing EEZ Tire and then actually reading the instructions, I was not comfortable with how it worked, and got non-answers from customer support. So I tested their performance for things like slow leak, fast leak, etc. and glad to report everything works as expected!
