Mine are folding and they go in the belly. With all the bike theft complaints in campgrounds they get locked up every night in the belly

I have the e-spec. Very good, bolts into hitch, no movement. Locks built in for bikes.

Yeah, I noticed that as well but I cannot think of any reason why it would matter if the toad is being driven or towed four down. It would matter if the toad was being towed on a dolly but that is the only thing I can think of.

I talked with one company and the person on the other end said the restriction about being used on an RV was not so much about sway but rather that the hitch receiver is much further back on an RV than on a car or a truck. That causes the rack and bikes to experience a much greater up-down movement and side-to-side movement because essentially the rack is way at the end of a ten foot or more lever.

We use the Thule Easyfold with 2 fat tire ebikes. I think it’s a very solid built rack.

I have 2 70lb ebikes, I am using a Thule rack (forgot model) for fat tire mountain bikes and its worked really well. Not many choices if looking for a non DIY application and even less when looking for a cover.

We have the same rack and love it. Rated for trailers and ebikes. Easy to load and lock. We just purchased the matching bike cover, mostly for dust here in AZ. The only issue is needing to rotate the handlebars on the inside bike to avoid contact with the FW window.

Interesting comments about carrying ebikes on toad. I am trying to find a bike rack that is approved for both a toad mount or RV mount. My big question is why can't you carry a rv only approved (not toad approved) on back of Rv between rv and toad? Yes you would need a double hitch receiver but it shouldn't be a problem. That option would give you several more rv approved bike rack options. Because as has been said, finding a bike rack that is only approved for a toad really limits your choices. Any feedback wou, would, be greatly appreciated. I am looking at both Swagman and the Hollywood Rv Rider bike racks. The One Up and other similar bike racks would be my preference but they are too expensive for how much I would use them.

Because you are at the end of a much longer lever at the back of an RV than at the back of a car/truck. This creates more up and down force over bumps.

I used a double hitch on the RV to carry our 2 e-bikes and for a tow dolly.

What are those of you with heavy ebikes using?
2” receiver and no toad use.
We bought two Level 2 Aventon bikes last week as well! This is the carrier that we purchased. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BV2MQSLP...t_details&th=1I just put it together today. Seems well made but haven't had a chance to test it out.

I have the e-spec. Expensive but safe for my expensive bikes.

Yakima has two racks rated for E-bikes and RV use. I use the Stage Two and it is a very solid and heavy unit.
