Hi Everyone,
We are in the Mission, RGV in Tx. this winter, for a change of pace. We too have never paid for electricity before. We usually stay in Military campgrounds in Az. We are paying, believe it or not .18 cents/kw hr. During this past month, we did not run the air, heat pump, electric water heater or electric space heaters. We only run the fridge on electric, the tv, sat. etc. low electric items. Our electric bill for that 30 day period was $87.00. Just to compare for the 6 days prior to that when we first arrived at this site, and running the two airs and all of the other stuff the bill was $36.00 for the 6 days. That is what stopped us from using elec. so much. We now run the hot water on gas and only when needed.
