Electric plug in to shore power
I am trying to plug my rv in shore power, but there is a difference in the plugs. What can I do to connect them together.

The plug on the right is not a standard RV plug, you need to replace it. The standard is on the left and that is for a 120 VAC 30 amp circuit.

One end may go to the RV and the other to the power post.
I have the same 2 ends on my cord.
Post some pictures of both ends of both cords if there are 2.

Need a little more information. Are you trying to plug in at a home? I ask because you have the right plug on the left that appears to be on the end of your RV cord. If this is a home set up and he used a non standard cord then should be a adapter he made to make this work. Please describe this situation.

I am living in Mount Hood Forest so we're connecting to RV power outlet and the black is the piece coming out of my RV where I used to plug into power at an RV park back home the yellow is a the longer cord I just purchased so that I could reach the box here but the two ends are completely different so I didn't know if there's an adapter to go from one to another what I do

The black plug with the 3 brass prongs is the correct plug for an RV needing 30 amp power. Having the prongs exposed like that is called the male end of the plug.
The yellow cord you bought is not the configuration for RVs. I’m not sure where you got this yellow cord, but take it back. You’ve got a photo of your black RV cord....any RV store should have the proper 30 amp extension cord you apparently need.

You bought the yellow cord as an "extension cord" for you 30 Amp RV service, but it is NOT an extension cord. The yellow cord is a standard 30 amp RV cord for an RV with a removable cord that connects to the RV with a twist-lock connector. As someone already said, take it back and get a 30 amp EXTENSION CORD.

Looks like you could use an adapter that looks like this:
Did a little more searching as I've never seen an end like that. I think that is a plug for a generator. The other end would be 30 amp for your trailer.

She would need 2, one on each end and correct for male/female style, it's not a good idea to add more stuff on a long cord.
If she can get some help, a local electrical supply may sell the ends and then rewire the cord.

That is an adapter to plug a 30 amp RV into a 30 amp 120 volt twist lock plug on a generator.

Post #10 and #11 are going to confuse the issue here. The 3 prong design shown is to connect to a generator.
NORMAL connections for a simple 30 amp extension cord for her situation would be like gpounder sent a link too.

The straight blades goes into the shore power. 120 volt 30 amps. At the campground. The other one should be on the other end is a twist lock. It goes into a receptical in the side of the RV. You push it in and turn it to the right about 1/4 of an inch. The loose black ring screws onto the outlet you plugged into. You must tighten the ring when you plug in.
There is an adapter called a dog bone you can buy to allow you to plug the straight blades into a 15/20 amp circuit at home to cool down the fridge.
If you need an extension cord you need one with male straight Blades on one end and a female with shraight blade slots on the other.
