Electrical Problem at Park

We have a 2011 Class A 43 ft. We just came from 6 months on the road without an electrical problem. We pulled into this park and hooked to the 50 amp post. Power came on saying we have 50 amp power on our Energy Management System. About 15-30 seconds later “NO SERVICE” shows on EMS and AC shut off. 15-30 seconds later power comes back on plus AC. Then again “NO POWER”. Park changed the breaker but same thing happened so we tried another pole next to us in same area. Same thing happened. What’s going on or happening? Anyone know?

Check the voltage at the service pole. Probably low so the EMS is shutting power off to protect your appliances.

Anyone nearby having issues ? Park crowded ?
Sure sounds like an intermittent low supply voltage triggering the EMS to shut down.
Did the park worker check voltage or just throw another breaker in?

I assume you don't have a Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C or similar with display which will show error codes. If you do what error codes are being shown.

Can you start your generator and run with out interruptions, this could help you isolate whether or not its the pedestal or coach.

I'd suggest unplugging from the pedestal and remain unplugged until you check the pedestal for over/under (is my bet) voltage, open ground, open neutral & reverse polarity. If you don't have or are not comfortable with a multi-meter call an electrician or perhaps the park has a maintenance guy.

If your coach has not had issues seems like the issue is being caused by the pedestal.

Dirty power from a pedestal has ruined more than one coach worth of sensitive electronics.

Worker just replaced the 50amp breaker and same problem. We disconnected from shore and are paying premium site price for no power. Generator working fine so maybe “dirty” power. The marina next to us was having some issues also. Don’t know about others mostly 30 ampers. Our coach has a progressive system hard wired in so we think is doing its job. Another thought .. Could it be the transfer switch? Moving to a different park tomorrow. We are in a hellacious rain storm currently here West of Nashville on the Tennessee River.

Yes the Resort park on the Tennessee River is packed. 86 units mostly 30 ampers. Worker just put in a new breaker and he checked power with a big Camco Surge Protector which indicated both legs showing blue lights and power light showing green. ????

Is it the EMS-HW50C, if it is there should be a remote display that will show you the error code.

Generator started and is running with no issues at all so suspect the pedestal or park has issues.
All 86 sites full with mostly 30 ampers. A few 50 of us folks but they are on a different circuit line area than me.

Tried the double 30 pigtail to 50. Same results. Power then no power. Tried 30 alone same results.

As noted, most likely low voltage on at least one leg of the circuit. I had same issue at my storage unit recently. Owner added 50 amp for my coach but any time I tried to use an AC unit, my surge guard would shut off power. Checked voltage and one leg had 123VAC and the other was at 108VAC. That lower voltage on one leg caused my surge guard/EMS to shut down.

The tester with blue lights is not actually showing the voltage.

Progressive Industries will shut down at less than 104 volts for low voltage protection. The display on the remote for the EMS HW50C or on the unit for the LCHW 50 will show E4 for line 1 or E6 for line 2

Am curious...Did the worker check the incoming power using a voltmeter? If so what was the voltage?
