Ac issues

The system on my 1993 holiday rambler has this setup. Suppose to let both ac units work on a 30 amp. By cycling front off back on and vice versa. Well the plug underneath when plugged up will shock you on any metal on outside of rv. When unplugged front air only works but it shuts off automatically and stays off then kicks back on. It has switch for front both or rear but it isn't working correctly. I'm just confused on the way system is setup. Does anyone have this setup and could help me please.

May I suggest not plugging in the units until you get the electric sorted out by a professional. This "setup" isn't right it may have been altered by a previous owner.

Good Luck

Glad to have you here in the forum with us.

If you're getting shocked when you have the plug in you have a major issue. I would not use it until you get someone certified to straighten it out.

Happy Trails!!!

First thing I would look at is the pulse air box wiring. There is at least one un-clamped romex cable that could be shorting to the enclosure.

Second, is the power cord in the picture that looks like the end is half pulled off. The wire connections may be touching inside it.

Hello,
Will you know where I can find one of this units or a replacement for it? Mine is not switching and can not find a replacement anywhere. Thanks in advance.
