As far as the day, night issue it sounds like either moisture or shrinking wires. If the temp swing is enough some wires may be shrinking out of their crimped ends and causing the issue. If it is moisture then it is most likely a ground problem or a dot of moisture letting 12v go from one system to the next. Both would involve recrimping each connection...

I have owned my unit for 11 years and just started year 8 as a full timer traveling 6+ months every year. I am used to frustrating problems with these units. Aside from these frustrations, I am in the happiest state of my life. Absolutely no regrets going solo and full time for over 7 years. Hope I have many more years of this lifestyle.

Looks like I might have to hire someone who knows what they are doing.

forget about the night thing. It is inconsequential. You have an intermittent short to ground that is affecting the circuit with the glowing switch. The fault may be somewhere else but it is somehow related to the glowing switch. Start there.

In addition if the short has enough power to affect the slide controller you need to find it fast. If it can make the slide controller move the slides it is capable of starting a fire.
