EMS protection

Hi,

Just curious, has anybody ever had their portable surge protector or ems stolen?

Haven't been locking mine to the pole. Just wondering if it is something I should be more diligent about.

I’ve had one for several years without a theft problem. Of course I do lock it with both a chain and also lock the box cover.

As many times as this has been asked, nobody has replied that they have had one stolen. A few reported that they left theirs on the pole, and most got them back. A few do lock them to the pole, and a few more cover the end where the coach cable connects with a box and a lock.

Never lost one never locked one up. I did some other work and installed a hard wired and now don't have to worry about it. I didn't do it to resolve any potential theft just for convenience.

I have heard of an occasional theft. Most folks I run into have theirs locked. We have our hard wired with a remote mounted in the coach.

I've never heard of one being stolen. I did read on here about someone accidentally leaving one at the site and when they called back to the CG it was gone.

I also had one hard wired. It was less expensive and is much more convenient. Also have a digital read out that's very nice.

I now have a Class A with a hard wired EMS, but previously had a 5th wheel with an EMS on the pole for five years, with out a lock. Still have the EMS in my storage compartment as a back up.
