Was your dealer part of the problem--not moving RV's to higher ground? Should they have some liability too?

Of course, sometimes there's no warning the floodwaters are rising. But often there is. This situation shouldn't be such a questionable issue for any insurance company.
There wasn't any place to move them that wasn't under water for MILES.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. I'd start squeaking loudly.

Thanks everyone.. Still in motion and great thoughts/ideas.. The complaint has been filed and the noise has begun. I can not believe the silliness of all this...

I would warn everyone AGAINST choosing National General Insurance - their motives, resources and intentions are more than questionable.

There must be more to the story. I have had National General for several years and never had any issues with claims. I just had a windshield replaced without issue.

Currently our flood damaged 2015 Entegra Aspire 44B has sat two states away for 90+ days with no work done whatsoever and until I personally ordered in a road call from Cummins to evaluate the ISL-9 and Generator and filed a complaint with the State of Louisiana Department of Insurance, National General Insurance had been less than responsive with providing estimates or updates on the claim. Now the repair estimates are above 100K and they are still waiting on the preliminary estimates from Spartan Chassis on the wiring & chassis repairs. A number of suppliers that offered estimates are now very leery of starting any work because of what they may uncover and offering any sort warranty on their work for fear of what may happen down the road.

While I am sure all insurance companies can be frustrating to deal with on large claims:banged:, National General has been a little scary so far. I have e-mails from the current adjuster (did I mention he is the second one & has never seen the damage) asking the repair facility in Alabama if they can just rinse the generator off since it was not running during the flood? I also have damages to the paint finish, radiator, and Entegra rock guard flap that was caused by their towing company (yes - the tow truck driver bounce the coach on his epic tow from Louisiana and ripped the bottom back half of the radiator) which oddly seems to be conveniently pushed aside at the moment. It is the little things like these that cause my confidence in National General's process to be severely questioned.

With that said, I am confident my claim will be settled in some way, at some time in the future and thanks to the advice here, National General Insurance & the Louisiana Department of Insurance have both started to pay attention to the process. As a matter of fact, I was made aware by National General Insurance last night that there is an internal meeting this afternoon to discuss my claim and the process currently in action

While I can't remove my earlier warning about National General Insurance, I can hope that no one else has the same experience. I have learned that it is the adjuster who holds all the cards in a large claim and while the water line on my coach has faded away, the known and unknown issues will always be a reality.

This is my first and only claim with National General Insurance and for me, I am not sure I will stick with them in the future.

FYI - I wrote an email to my insurance company on Monday concerning my home flooding and threatened to "lawyer up", and got all kinds of attention.
They promised to have me everything by Monday.
I hope that is really the case.
Just the threat of a lawyer may be all you need.
Also remember that Louisiana law requires you to declare if your vehicle has been flooded -which yours has. That may be why it was hauled to Alabama - in order to get around that law. It has been done that way in the past.

In Law Enforcement, the magic phrase is "Probable Cause". The term "acting in bad faith" is the magic phrase in the insurance industry. It has specific legal definitions and in our state it entitles you to triple damages.
