I've decided on purchasing the Equal-i-zer and can purchase the 10,000lb/1000lb hitch weight or the 12000lb/1200lb hitch weight for the same price. For my current trailer the 10,000/1000 is more than adquate but is there any reason I shouldn't purchase the 12,000/1200 just in case I trade up in trailers down the road?

Riverdog I would go for the 12000. I had the 10K Equal-i-zer I bought for a Mobile Scout TT and although it worked well I always wished I had gone for the 12K. I guess it's opinion but when it comes to towing I think whether it's hitches or engines big is always better. Happy Trails!!
