This is a great question that would take up pages for a proper answer. But you have come to the right place, just ask as you go, someone here will be more than happy to guide you into the right choice for you.

The first thing I look for is any signs of leaks- past or present. A leak, even if fixed could have caused serious deterioration deep into the sub structure. You don't say what price range you are in. You should post that so we can help.

I bought my first (and present) motor home that was always 'garaged' when not in use. It is now 16 years old and looks like a new one. More than mileage is the way it was stored and used. I see ads touting the fact that it has low mileage and has almost no hours on the generator. This is a mistake--these things need to be exercised. Just sitting around is not good for them.

Good luck and don't be too hasty to purchase, If you find one you like, your best bargaining tool is your feet. Walk away and wait, chances are they will call you with a lower price.

Oh, I forgot TIRES. Learn to look at the date codes on the tires. Most people here tell you that you should replace tires on a motor home after 7 years.
Tires are a huge expense. You will see MHs for sale and they will show you a picture of the tread on the tires. That means absolutely nothing if the tires are old.

You state your budget is around $150,000. Check out these sites to give you some idea what you can purchase for that. You can find a very nice quality manufacturer. I'd also recommend taking holding back some for any needed items such as tires, maintenance, etc.
