Extended warranties

My wife and I just ordered our new coach yesterday and one of the questions asked was about whether or not we wanted the extended warranty. I hear good things about Tiffin's, but they still break, right? Is it worth another $10k for an extended warranty? Anybody have one that they have used? Was it worth it? We typically won't buy one, but there is a lot that could go wrong. Thoughts?

This subject has been debated (heatedly!) here dozens of times. May I suggest you use SEARCH with the term "extended warranty" and spend an evening reading what you find. Then ask specific questions if you still have any.

Yes, Tiffins break just like any other. Tiffin has really excellent customer service but they build them pretty much like everybody else.

May be if it is for 10-15 years with no deductible.

You can get one anytime after your NEW warranty expires. If before, you are double covered for some items.

I turned one down 13 years ago that was a1K a year with a $500 deductible. Only have had one repair that was above the $500. Cost a extra $400.
So I am way ahead $$$$ by not getting a extended warranty.

Thanks. I am new to the site and tried that, thinking this isn't a new topic, but it was only after my post that it linked to several that discussed this. I did read through them. Thanks to all who responded.

Actually, unless you buy the "warranty" from the original vehicle manufacturer than they are NOT "warranties" by law. They are a service police and there's a big difference in how they pay or don't pay!
