The newer Ford Transit T350 comes up a bit short on tow capacity - most configurations top out around 6000 lbs.


IMO, I would advise against a van pulling anything, even a lightweight, for handling and safety reasons. Expedition or Suburban is probably a good solution. We tow a fullsize Expedition so we can put our family of 7 in it when we get to a destination.
Perhaps you are right, but could you give some reasons? The E350 or E450 is body on frame construction and not mechanically much different than an Expo or Suburban, yet typically better laid-out for passenger comfort & convenience.
