FAN-Tastic fan...

So, with my shower ceiling framing and roof repair, I replaced the skylight with a FAN-Tastic fan unit. It has the powered open and close and rain sensor. So, while trying to use it to exhaust humid air while showering, the rain sensor kept closing it. Any ideas for how to disable this feature?

It will require getting on the roof but I'd imagine a bit of tape over the contacts would defeat the rain sensor. I'd suggest blue painters tape as it leaves little residue. Don't forget to remove it before the rainy season.

This happens on ours also. It also happens in the AM during heavy dew.

You might try closing the vent cover manually as low as it will go, this will increase the air velocity across the sensor and may keep it from closing the vent.

I installed MAX AIRE's which allow the fans to run no matter the weather. Small $ great results.
