Just got off the phone with fan-tastic fans. The gears in the motor of my fan-tastic fan stripped out and would not raise or lower the lid. Jeff at Fan-tastic fans is sending me a brand new upgraded motor along with all the operating hardware for my fan lid at NO charge . Now that is Fantastic . My hat is off to a company that truly stands behind there product. Did I mention that this fan is 10 years old and I truly expected to purchase a new motor.

Just wanted to let everyone know what a great experience I had with them.

Chris

That is REALLY great. Makes you wonder why you would bother with any other brand.

I am with you on that. Too bad more companies don't operate like that.

Well! I'm sure that ShurFlo Platinum will match that, tho I haven't had to find out. Having said that, I sure hope they do....

OK - don't blast me for my ignorance but I'm used to old TC's and recently picked up my first TT (albeit it's 11 years old)....BUT what is a Fan-tastic fan and why is it so good?? I've heard it mentioned off & on but don't really know much about them. Also, if it really is that good can one be retro-fitted into an old TT like mine? Note: My bathroom ceiling vent does have a built in fan that I can turn off & on - would it replace this?

Sorry - I don't mean to hijack the OP's thread just looking for a little education.

Hey RiverDog,

Well there so good because they open and turn on on their own depending what you have the temperature set to. They also can close if they sense rain and the fan and motor are VERY quit. Plus, if you wan to, you can control the whole thing from you easy chair if you'd like.

I'm pretty sure you could install one in place of your existing bathroom fan. With a call to them they could get you all the info you would need. Here's the web address http://www.fantasticvent.com/
