Fantastic fan vent lid, insulated
Does anyone have this replacement lid from Fantastic Fan (Amazon)?
Fan-Tastic Fantastic Vent White Insulated Replacement Dome Cover Lid RV Trailer Camper (Double Thickness of Regular Dome)
If so, how difficult was it to replace the original lid? Do you notice a difference in the heat passing through the lid? Would you recommend this?

I couldn’t find it on Amazon. Please post a link. I'd like to see what you are talking about.
I replaced my regular vent lids with polycarbonate models after hail took out the originals. They then survived baseball size hail in 2015 and are still doing good. It was sure worth the few extra $ to upgrade.

The Amazon white insulated lid is $77 + $12 shipping.
I Googled and found a Fantastic Fan smoked lid for $42.21 here:

How difficult was it to replace the lid? Would you please briefly describe the steps you took to get the job done?

Why are you changing your lid? Is the current one cracked? Is it stuck closed or open? Reason I ask is you may have other work to accomplish besides/before just replacing the lid.
If you can open your lid normally you see the arm that actually raises the lid and you see the track that the arm rides in. That will have to be removed - 2 screws. If I remember correctly (IIRC), the only way to get to the 2 screws is if the lid is open and you're on top of the roof. Once you remove those screws and the track is removed, the lid can be opened and closed with your hand. IIRC the lid is screwed to a piano type hinge with 4 screws. It is not hard to do any of this. Make sure you buy some contact cleaner so you can spray the plunger that starts and stops the fan motor, while you have good access to it.

For me that lid would cost $100 with tax and shipping. This is what I replaced my hail damaged vent lids with
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006JLU1I...8-dd02810e0b22
I’d investigate to see if it would work with the fan. They are all 14”x14”. Thicker plastic doesn’t give much insulation, but it will cut out much of the light.

FYI, Fantastic Fan(800-521-0298) covers have a lifetime warranty,go to their website and read the fine print. I didn't know about the lifetime warranty, when I called the woman who answered listened to me, then informed me of their lifetime warranty. She wrote down my FF model and serial #'s, then said watch for FedeX to deliver a new cover, shipping was on me.

"Rzrbrn".....thanks for posting about that lid. I have three Fantastic Fans on my coach. Two I covered with their vent cover, but adding one to my bathroom vent would make it the tallest item on the coach. I want to reduce the heat and the light in the rear bath.

Thanks everyone one who responded.
I am not sure of the insulation value of a double wall vent lid. Also did not know of the lifetime warranty. I was not certain of how to replace or what was needed to replace the vent lid: I have been known to take things apart then have parts left over, resulting in a non working repair. My wife reminds me of this almost supernatural ability, every time I suggest I make the repair rather than call in an expensive repair person. So I try to get it all straight in my head before I begin a project.
