Fiberglass Roof
Our 04 CC is in need of some type of coating because of the amount of grey chalking that runs down everywhere. If we can get by with a type of application for this year would be great. Later it might call for replacement just don't know.
If anyone knows a company or service tech that can do this for it is too much for me to be on that roof. Any help would be appreciated.

A simple and cheap try would be give it a good wash and rub down with 303.

I and many others have cleaned the roof well and painted it with Rustoleum Top Side paint. Easy to do and lasts a very long time. I would imagine a good painter in your area would be willing to do it for you at a reasonable cost

X2 on this.
When I first bought the coach the recommendation was to wash and applied a couple coat of Zeep floor wax. I took days to clean and then applied the product. It did not last.
I then would just wash mine and live with the oxidation issue.
Then last year I took the time to pressure wash the roof and then painted the Top Side paint on it. Looks great, not sure how long it will last but for now I'm satisfied.

The quick but short term fix is to simply wash it well and apply a coat of floor wax (floor wax isn't ultra slippery like car or furniture waxes). Should get you 3-5 months without chalking. The long term fix is to repaint the roof, either with a marine deck paint (e.g. the Topsider) or Dicor's Fiberglass Roof Coat paint.

I have heard but have not used mop and glow. It lasts a couple of months.

Mop & Glo or any similar wipe/mop on product should give a month or two of chalk relief. Heavier-duty waxes, e.g. Zep or Minwax, should last somewhat longer but require more labor.

Not really sure about the streaking issue, but I have a Minnie with a fiberglass roof and would also use something wit UV protection as well. Might give your fiberglass a few extra years.--Slink

My sister's class C's roof was doing the same streaking you described. I hired a mobile detail guy to clean the roof because I could not get it clean...plus I really don't need to be on a coach roof doing heavy cleaning - heights are not my thing.
Anyway, he detailed the whole coach and the roof is now spotless and showing no signs of streaking...best $400.00 spent.
Happy BD to her.

Clean and wax before it's gets to that point. Twice a year should eliminate the chalking. I've seen travel trailers with shiny paint, but the rubber roof looks terrible. Of course the dealers tell you that the roof is made to last for at least 10 years.

I guess that anyone with a fiberglass roof has that same problem. I can control it by pressure washing the roof about every three months, but most of the time I neglect to do that!
I'm planning to coat the roof with one of the highly reflective coatings that claim to reduce the temps inside. Not sure which one I will use yet.

Roof Coating
My 2007 Rev had the same problem. I power washed it a half dozen times and then started to have water intrusion. I couldn’t find where the leak was and hired a mobile RV tech to take a look. He immediately pointed to the tiny black pits in the white jell coat and said that was the problem. I couldn’t believe it but was at the end of my rope. I used the Dicor for fiberglass roofs, two coats. The hardest part was sanding the roof with Scotch Bright to rough up the surface. I used a roller and a brush to apply the Dicor. I had already removed the caulking and sealed with 4” Eternabond tape. It’s been 3 years and no leaks. The best part is that if anything gets on the roof that looks like a stain (leaves, dirt and other debris), the next time I drive it it the rain it looks like new! A heavy rain has the same effect. No chalking at all. I still get some streaking on the sides because I park my coach near a construction yard and the dust that settles on the roof will eventually wash off and onto the sides. I used about 1 1/2 gallons. I also use Aero Cosmetics Wash/Wax All on the sides.
