Firearms
Traveling from AZ to Co. I have a CCW, what about firearms in the Travel Trailer. Called CO law enforcement, got an answering machine.

Having firearms in the travel trailer while you are traveling is not the same as having them readily accessible in the vehicle while traveling. I’m not a lawyer, but concealed reciprocity doesn’t apply here. Read the Colorado laws, there is a good overview on the linked page, but try not to let the reciprocity laws confuse you. Even though Colorado is a gun friendly state Denver County isn’t so friendly. Safe travels.

Concealed carry is legal in Colorado for residents with a Colorado permit to carry a concealed weapon (CCW) and non-residents with a CCW permit from a state that Colorado honors. CCW permits can be issued to any resident at least 21 years old and not prohibited by law from possessing a firearm. Concealed carry permits require a firearms training course that has been state-approved. Colorado doesn’t issue non-resident permits with the exception of members of the military permanently stationed in Colorado and their immediate family members that live in the state. In terms of reciprocity, Colorado will only honor resident CCW licenses from states with which it has a reciprocity agreement.

Open carry is also legal in most of Colorado except where posted and in Denver County. If you are otherwise allowed to own a firearm you don’t need a CCP to open carry. My point is carrying them in the travel trailer isn’t a Concealed Carry Reciprocity issue. Colorado also has a Castle Doctrine law that may be more appropriate here, but you don’t need a CCP to have them inside your own travel trailer, you just need to be in legal possession of any firearms inside. Different laws are possible for each State, and possibly different restrictions for some municipalities or other locations inside a state. My point is read all the applicable laws. If someone wanted to carry the firearm concealed in their vehicle or on their person then verify the reciprocity laws for where you are going. The link provided to the USCCA website is a great place to start.

I plan to have a firearm in my vehicle while driving. And possibly while dining.

Make sure you comply with the requirements of having a CCW.

Vehicle is an extension of your home, they can be in the open, or even on your person in the car.
Once you step out of the car, then you either need to be OC, or have a permit.
OC is no big deal in most of CO. No OC in Denver at all, and that includes 'Denver mountain parks' that are owned by Denver, but not in the city limits. They changed the state preemption law and some local jurisdictions are trying to forbid OC in various places. Almost all of these are in Boulder county.
Lots of OC in western CO, quite a bit in southern CO. And you do see some here and there in some Denver burbs.
With the change in the state preemption laws, challenges to these laws, etc., it's always a good idea to see what the latest is concerning this. Especially in touchy areas where you might expect a lot of anti-2A sentiment.
The rest of the state, it varies between no one cares, to it's encouraged. A certain well known House member has made it 'fashionable' to OC, and it's picked up in popularity.

Before you consider carrying or moving a firearm in your RV or vehicle, I would suggest you join an attorney group that is familiar with the regulations for firearms in multiple states as there are huge differences. I use US Law Shield. You can ask them specific questions regarding what rules apply and how best to comply. There have been major changes in some states' requirements each year.
