Fires preventing motorhome pickup

So our motorhome is at Camping World in Valencia, Ca. It has been there over 2 months for repairs u dear warranty as it is new. It's ready for pickup but we have postponed picking it up due to the many fires in various areas. We are not as concerned about picking it up as we are the fires in many Arabs up and down our state. P,ease pray for rain and help for those In the danger areas. Th fire in Ventura is so big that it affected the air quality in Santa Barbara County and the school I work at here in Lompoc had to cancel the fun run and the students were forced to spend their recess times indoors. We need rain so bad. Thank you very much.

I understand, however, keep in mind CW does not insure nor cover any damage to your MH while in their possession, read the fine print in the paper you signed when you dropped off your MH. IMO they have no incentive to protect your MH from damage due to that clause.
Only you can decide where it is safest.
Fires in the West, floods in the South, both are terrible for the residents.

Ray makes a good point. Consider your decision. It has been a terrible year for natural disasters this year for sure.

CA could use rain for sure, then there will be the landslides from the rain.

Friend in Vista, CA cannot get to his MH and they are under voluntary evacuation.

Our MH was totaled during Harvey.

No facility is responsible for loss during a catastrophe, Act of God.

^^this^^

cw - or any other facility - will likely take care of only **their** materials / inventory / facility and if yours is damaged you'll be on the hook.

encourage you to review your contract and decide accordingly.

good luck in all that's going on down there ... we have family in the region :-(

If at all possible, I'd go get it.

I had my FW in CW for warranty work and someone backed into it and put a nice hole in my cap. It took 4 months last winter for the two insurance company's to finally get it repaired, so no going to CW for repairs anymore.

Speaking of fires I got lucky back in October when the Napa valley burned and the fire just missed us. Then one month later I get a electrical fire in my house and now live between my FW and the hotel that the insurance company put me up in. Wife is not happy as it will take until March to get repaired so can't go to AZ this year.

I'm sure you know this by now, but Valencia is clear. The Rye fire is done. The Thomas fire is still rumbling down on Carpenteria and Santa Barbara, but if you head inland first you will be fine. Drove past CW today.

The Thomas fire is what would prevent us from going to Valencia at this point. We live in Santa Barbara County. Our schools here are closed today so I'm off work. Air quality is really bad here.

We are getting lots of smoke in the Paso Robles area, so Lompoc must really be heavy. Can't believe how that Thomas fire just keeps going and going. Going wine tasting for DW's Birthday today, hope we don't get smoked out.

Hope your wine tasting goes well. Schools are closed again tomorrow, Tuesday so I will be off again. Air quality is better today but not the best.
