We’ve used it for a bit over three years and appreciate the convenience also. For us, using the truck stops is so much easier than trying to squeeze into most other locations. I use an inexpensive rubber set of gloves when filling and if it’s a lane with spilled diesel (only rarely for us) I slip a disposable pair of shoe covers (like painters, plumbers, etc wear when in the house) on and toss them when done.
In 40,000 miles with the motorhome and 60,000 miles with fifth wheels we’ve never had a bad encounter with truck folks. Like anywhere, some are more openly friendly than others. More times than not it turns into a nice conversation about roads, weather, or engines.
It’s a “to each his own” thing.

I use the TSD card. Can usually pull in and fuel up and be back on the road in 20-30 minutes. Most truck stops have the long handle squeegees to clean the windshield. It is nice to know your fuel is paid for after you pump. One less thing to worry about. If you lose all your credit cards and still have your TSD card, you can get home or to your next stop.
