Some clarification: In Texas you don't have to camp in the state park, just be standing on park land. If the park borders the gulf, river or lake you can fish without a license, all catch and size limits are in effect. We have fished Goose Island State park on the gulf, good trout and Black Drum. Surprising you do have to have a license to fish on a military base. We fish Corpus Christi NAS and have been checked by Texas Fish and Game while fishing on base.
