I would agree

All persons traveling to Florida from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut or Louisiana are required upon entry to Florida to self-isolate or self-quarantine for 14 days, or for the duration of their presence in the state, whichever is shorter. Roadside checkpoints are set up on interstates to check for potential COVID-19 cases coming into Florida from areas with substantial community spread of the virus. The checkpoints do not apply to commercial drivers or health workers. Click here for more information.]

I will also attest that there are quite a few free, no prescription needed, test sites around the state staffed by the Natl Guard (GO GUARD) and here in Sarasota they are running 7 days a week. The alert signs on I75 are promoting free testing and encouraging people to get a test.
I went on the second day and it took about 2.5 hours (took my dog as a "service dog" - she was bewildered by all the people walking around with masks on - NG staff). Anyway, I tested Negative. Reason I wanted a test is my wife works at Dialysis centers and they had a few Covid positive patients. Even though she had limited exposure, you never know. She got a test a week ago and is calling for her results now.
On a different note: some people say "you're wasting tests for people that need them". First, somebody that has symptoms can get a quick prescription from their personal MD to a local lab for a test. Second, if there is a state offered free test, why don't they go get a test for peace of mind plus the state gets numbers of positive and negative - they need this to plan.

The states have different rules on how you can use the beach, e.g. walking, exercising, no laying on the beach, no grouping, etc,. Seems most are opening and you need to contact the county to see the rules first hand.

Based on what I have been seeing over the last week or so, we'll be seeing another spike in short order. Hardly anyone is paying heed to distancing or mask-wearing protocol.

Umm, yes we have. Just because there are new cases doesn't mean we haven't had a downward trend. Here's some graphs for you from the Florida Department of Health for the State:

Fort Pickens (The fort itself) will open tomorrow. Basically day use only..The Campground will remain closed. No information as to when it will open...Sorry-- The "adaptative recovery plan" is here: https://www.nps.gov/guis/planyourvis...ening-plan.htm
Governor DeSantis was in Pensacola today, opened a new no appointment testing center here staffed by National Guard. Overall cases are decreasing and he seems to be on top of it. Waiting on State Parks to open campgrounds.

What this graph does not account for (as DeSantis has ordered the DOH to do so) are any COVID deaths in this state of anyone who is not a full-time resident of the state. This includes snow birds, tourists, family of residents, and military non-resident families. There are far more cases and deaths that are not being reported here in Florida because of the home address...

No there's not. Non-residents are counted separately from residents but they make up a very small percentage. For example; out of over 15,000 cases in Miami-Dade only 177 are non-residents. Out of 548 deaths, only 29 are non-residents.
Got any more doom-n-gloom fake news to spread?

Here is ONE of many articles from a respected news source that corroborate what I said. If you care to do some searching for yourself, you can find numerous other sources that say the same; including NPR...

Now you're trying to say the official state numbers are not accurate so the facts are not facts and there's a big conspiracy to hide the truth. While that may, in fact, be true about this entire CV-19 thing on so many levels, there's probably even more unknown facts and statistics about who and how many have been infected since before we ever started keeping count in the November through February time frame who have recovered from their diagnosed "worst case of bronchitis they ever had" and are now living "normally" like the rest of us. You can dwell on the negative, I choose to dwell on getting back to normal living.

After reading through some of your other posts I've come to the conclusion that you enjoy arguing and consider yourself right regardless of fact.
DeSantis DID order the coroner to stop publicly reporting COVID deaths, and the data his administration controls does not currently include the data of non-resident individuals.
You can find this information yourself if you care to do so; though it would seem you rely on your own "facts". It's just sad that you are spreading misinformation to fit your own agenda.
As far as I am concerned, you can go out and lick doorknobs if you like, but you shouldn't encourage others to do so with misinformation...

Yet in your OP in this thread (#4) you are the one arguing with what the poster in post #3 said, And every time your "information" was countered with facts you took a different tactic. Time to close this thread.

Hard to discuss with real facts, the news media selects only what supports their view. NPR, Tampa Times, et al want you hiding under your bed and waiting for the next stimulus check and for 2021-22 and nationwide vaccinations... The initial response was to level the onslaught of the virus, we have done that. Hospitals should be able to handle new cases as we re-open. The PPE and medical equipment now on hand far exceeds expected demand, and testing soon will.
Follow CDC guidelines and return to work.
CDC recommends masks in public to contain your sneeze/cough to protect others.. Media enthusiastically points out home made mask may not protect you from catching the virus. Use of masks in public remains sporadic..

The OP’s question was answered early in the thread. It’s now off the tracks and has gone off in different directions. Time to move on.
