"NevadaNick".......The system is a set of caps with hoses attached to each cap. All the hoses connect to a manifold and then into one line that has a sealed quick connect. When you're ready to fill the batteries, you connect a provided hose to the quick connect, which has a bulb built in. You stick the end of the hose into a container of distilled water and squeeze the bulb until it can't be squeezed anymore. That means all batteries are full. Disconnect the hose and store it away until next time. It takes me longer to get the hose and jug of distilled water out than it does to fill my six batteries.

It's one of the BEST products you'll ever buy for your RV. You have one naysayer on here out of 25 people that posted. I've been using the system for over 8 years, never an issue.

One thing I have witnessed on some rigs with watering systems is having to "filler up" too often.
This indicates an overcharge issue going on. I check my Magnum Energy readout often as I pass by it. If it goes to Surge charge at 14.5 or higher for more than a few minutes after you plug the coach into the pedstal, or goes above Float charge rate of 13.7 often, the charger is not on par.
Me thinks excessive battery electrolyte loss is most often caused by improper inverter/charger settings and poor 12V electrical management.
I am fortunate to have full access to the batteries on a slide tray, and I only need to top off the cells once a year.
I didn't have 12V mgt in my first 2 coaches, just chargers I trusted (but verified with a meter).
Another thing is that when charging is happening as it should, it will periodically show Full Charge each day. If it doesn't there are likely battery or charging issues

Dutch, thanks for clarifying how it works. I envisioned water being held until the battery needed it but not the case.

I know people really like the Pro-Fill. I did, too, for several years. That is, until I took it off and visually checked the cells, at which point I found out it had been malfunctioning.

Before that, I'd heard about people whose Pro-Fills malfunctioned, but they never said exactly how, much less why.

Likewise, people always talk about how easy it is to fill the batteries, which it undoubtedly is. But they don't specifically say whether they've actually taken it off to check the batteries to see if it's really working. I, too, had sung the praises of the Pro-Fill, but I also failed to check the cells to see if it was actually filling them correctly.

It had never occurred to me that I'd need to take the thing off if the filling process was working well, and all I want to do is warn others who similarly might not think to visually check their battery cells.

And if you do check your battery cells, look in there pretty good to see if your batteries have developed any of this foam-like matter in there. If they do, be on super-alert because that foam stuff doesn't hurt the batteries, but it very definitely can make the Pro-Fill malfunction, and that will hurt your batteries.

Hey, just trying to help. I wish someone had done the same earlier than I did and I could have known to be on alert.
