mythplaced,
100 lb tank is only 24 gallons. My tank is 38 gallons now, or approx 150 lb. Most class A DP's have at least a 24 gal tank.

I was going to try and get propane and fuel at the Flying J on I 10 at Ehrenburg Az just before you enter California.
Well, I'm sure many of you that have traveled there know that there is a big difference in prices of fuel between Arizona and California but this was new for me.
The line up was huge and then as I was only two rigs away from the pump this fellow got out his special gloves and started filling up fuel , cleaned every window on his 42 footer and the toad. Checked all his tires, oil, transmission, windshield fluid etc.
I thought he was going to pull the motor. It was unbelievable!! The line behind me was so long I felt bad about even getting fuel and rushing out of the way.
That was the longest fuel stop I have ever had.

Flying J I-81 in Pa.
We got propane once at the first Flying J heading south on I-81 in Pa. After waiting 30 mins. after using the phone, I went inside and was told the guy that does the propane was on lunch. We then waited another 15 minutes for him to come out. He overfilled the tank and we had to smell it all week!! We usually try to have the same company that fills our house tanks keep our propane in the motorhome topped off.

45 minutes wait for propane - WOW !! You must have the patience of Jobe.
That, however, is the main problem I've had getting propane at FJ - the wait for someone to come out all the while usually blocking the gas lane. I don't think I would wait that long though, I would take my business elsewhere !

Yeah, that was the first and last time there. Plus I heard that if you go down past the Flying J a bit to turn around, there is a state police barracks there and they nail you for making a U turn or something.

If you smelled propane all week, then it was not from residual of 'overfilling' the tank, there is a leak someplace.
