We bought our road atlas at Love's. The trucker version is easy to use.

Buying an Atlas.

Walmart sells them. DH had a job in shipping. His company always made a profit by increasing the shipping fee.

A company making a profit. Karl Marx would be appalled.

Find a friend that has AAA. Ask them to get you a free one.

The FMCA Atlas is a pretty good resource. You can't buy them at Walmart, Amazon, AAA or truck stops. Only from FMCA. I used to get them each year back in the late 90's early 20's but the shipping costs went up several years ago and I decided it wasn't nearly $30 helpful and stopped buying them.

The different editions of the 2021 Rand McNally atlas are available on Amazon for ~$12-20 with free shipping (for Prime members). Unless FMCA is including "special roads" that only it knows about, I can't see any reason to pay more.

FWIW, FMCA is having serious financial issues at the moment. That's no secret, it's a frequent discussion topic on the FMCA forum. I would expect that it will do anything to raise cash, including overpricing an atlas. JMO

Not sure that your insinuation is fair or helpful - the price on the atlas, even with shipping, is not out of line. It's also been pretty much the same for a number of years IIRC.
