Hello everyone,
I am so glad to be a part of iRV2. I just joined today, but have been reading forums for a long time.
My question is: Does anyone have any information on when or if Fort Pickens campground is going to be open. I have found out that the NPS is considering not opening to RVs, only backpackers.
Breaks my heart, as we have many fond memories there.

Welcome to IRV2. We live in Tallahassee and travelled to Ft Pickens several times over the years. I'm like you, we loved it. Away from everything but close enough to get what ever you needed. I never took my boat over, but often thought I would. The beach and water is beautiful. Do not know the status of the park. I do wish they would reopen it. s/Toby

Toby,
I am so glad that someone out there cares about opening Ft. Pickens again. Please get on NPS website and find Ft. Pickens. You have untill June 9 to comment .
Thank you,
Barbara
